How many years do you and your mother differ? 16,17,20? This means that your mother had you at a very young age. She experienced teenage pregnancy. This is very common in many mother son or mother daughter relationships.
Although teen pregnancy rates have dropped in recent years, in 2000, more than 800000 girls under 20 years of age became pregnant in the United States, 478000 of whom gave birth.
This statistic shows that there are many teenage pregnancy's of all different ethnic groups in the U.S and even half of them turn to abortions.

Education weekend 2/20-21
On Sunday, 2/21, I attended church but the 2nd service dealt with eduction. In my church, their is a sponsored Scholarship Fund, in which we give money through fundraisers and services in order to give to college students in the church. They use this money for whatever they need such as books and tuition. Some students go away to college and others stay at home with their parents but still go to school in NYC. One requirement to receive your sum of money is having a decent transcript for that marking period or semester. The college students had to have been dedicated and motivated to pass their classes and have goals for themselves.

Today was Valentine's day, 2/14. This day is celebrated all over the world and was first started by a Saint named, St. Valentine(what a surprise right?) No one really knows how this day came to be and why we celebrate it because of him but there are different myths from different cultures. All I know is that Valentine's day is a day where you express the love and care that you have for that special someone, hubby/wifey, girlfriend/boyfriend, husband/wife, or if you can't find a date your mommy or daddy.
I celebrated Valentine's day with my friends at Apple bees, simply because I turned down the offers and I wanted to share this day with my besties that I love and not some weird kid who just crushes a lot. Anyways, I had fun and I know this day will come around next Feb.14, Ill just have to come prepared. lol
