How many years do you and your mother differ? 16,17,20? This means that your mother had you at a very young age. She experienced teenage pregnancy. This is very common in many mother son or mother daughter relationships.
Although teen pregnancy rates have dropped in recent years, in 2000, more than 800000 girls under 20 years of age became pregnant in the United States, 478000 of whom gave birth.

This statistic shows that there are many teenage pregnancy's of all different ethnic groups in the U.S and even half of them turn to abortions.
